We most definitely must be half way through. I know this not just because it’s December, but because I had en email earlier today on behalf of the Trustees asking me for a round-up of how I’ve been getting on. I was expecting this email at the half-way point. I am excited that we are half way and also quite chuffed that I made it this far! The end is in sight and it’s time to crank up the volume and head straight on until morning! (Well, to the end of March when the exams will be over).
Going through all the subjects that we have taken to date and looking back at how much I have learnt, it’s amazing. To think that it’s been just 4 months. I turned up knowing barely anything about how the French legal system works, nor did I really have any idea about French culture it seems but now I have settled in and have got into the ‘French way’ of things.
We break up for Christmas on the 21 December and beforehand, on the 14 December, we are heading to Strasbourg to visit the European Court of Human Rights – we will also have the opportunity to visit the famous Christmas markets which will no doubt get us into the festive spirit before the holidays.
This afternoon I will be preparing for our Company law class tomorrow morning and I also bought a new book on International Private Law on the way back from class today, which I want to get to grips with. This is probably the subject that I was most looking forward to learning as it’s something that I’ve been interested in for a while.
More updates soon.
